LANDSCAPES
Landscapes are his main subjects, particularly of the North country, but paints anywhere that takes the eye. Typical of his style is a combination of the detail of the buildings with the loose treatment of the surrounds for which watercolour is so attractive.
His interpretation of the light on the buildings and the essence of the stonework within the softness of the whole captures the mood and feel of the subject.
